18" Princess Elizabeth Bride [1947] (#28)

Princess Elizabeth Bride, (18 inch size, 1947) is Madame Alexander’s vision, in advance of The Royal Wedding of the future Queen of England, of how the bride would be dressed.  This very rare doll, tagged “Princess Elizabeth” is from the first year dolls were made of hard plastic.  She has dark sable brown hair and a striking Margaret face.  Her fabulous gown of white slipper satin is adorned lavishly with white lilies-of the-valley and is fashioned with leg-o- mutton sleeves and Princess seams.  Underneath the gown is a full-length slip made of the finest cotton lawn fabric and trimmed with the most exquisite lace.  Cathedral length veil.  Long white stockings and white leatherette shoes.  An extraordinary doll! $2400.
