Sweet Violet is a very unique doll. From 1954, her body is multi-ball-jointed in the same way that the antique bisque dolls of Madame Alexander's childhood were made. This one is the finest example I have ever seen-she has such a beautiful face with Elizabeth Taylor violet blue eyes and a peaches in cream complexion. Party attire-the white organdy dress is worn over a pink taffeta slip. A quaint bonnet and so many details like white gloves, purple velvet shoes, a hat box and an illustrated book attached to her wrist "The Story of Sweet Violet." An extraordinary doll. $1850.
