Hulda (circa mid to late 1940’s)—a very rare version with blonde hair! With an air of “mystery,” this doll is dressed in a Victorian style ensemble. The black velvet jacket is ornamented with double rows of ecru lace around the black taffeta collar. Her taffeta gown is fashioned from claret red taffeta with matching bows and roses on the black straw hat. Fancy lace adorns the slip that is attached to skirt at the waist. Pink taffeta bloomers. The color combination of dark red and black with blonde hair is stunning. We have never seen Hulda in this color combination before. This doll has the elaborate “eyemakeup”--including dramatic arched brows and eyeliner—that are characteristic to Hulda and The Mystery Dolls of 1951. $9000.
