Wendy Ann in Lavender Party Dress (#12)
14" Wendy Ann is an early hard plastic doll with the charm of the mid-1940's. The rich lavender faille fabric of the dress still shines after all these years and has an attached apron of crisp white organdy, trimmed with intricate embroidered eyelet and a felt appliqué of a little flower pot with a single bloom (so typifying of the graphics used in children's illustrations in this time period.) The cotton muslin slip is attached to the dress and there are matching bloomers. White leatherette shoes and a big satin hair bow give this outfit a fancy touch. Wendy Ann is dewy and lifelike with lush long curls of mohair. She comes to you with a vintage clover wrist tag. $1650.
